and also, 3/22 is pretty normal if you qualify for the position you're applying for.

i worked in a HR department as an intern over the summer at a bank and it's a fairly quick process calling people in for interviews if the position that needs to be filled needs to be filled urgently

That's a canned phrase that hiring managers use to make you feel wanted so you will invest extra time and go to their interview.

Doesn't necessarily mean they were actually impressed.

I say it all the time to new job hires when I'm interviewing them.

But good luck nonetheless.

im not sure 3 months experience where 5 years is required is meeting requirements or being qualified.

i think if someone calls you 3 times, cannot get ahold of you then emails that that its true.

i know perfectly well for a 40/h position she'd have hundreds applying.

Absolutely this.  I work in a bank and am on the interview team.  We posted for a position a little less than two weeks ago and have interviewed about 20 candidates the first week, and about 10 the second.

say you're hiring a claims officer for a fire & flood company. why would you hire someone with 5 years claims experience over a 3 month experienced claim officer who has 2 years previous experience with fires and floods in an emergency responder & investigation role?

latter is more qualified.
