Silly me, I took the full half hour for the test. I agree that it should be a bit tougher, I was actually surprised that the essay portion was graded straight away instead of read by a moderator.
I got worried about the free writing thing. I just did what I do at school for essays, waffle for about 200 words

If I could add a suggestion, I would suggest that the administration make the quiz a pop-up window so it makes it harder to keep switching tabs on a browser to look up any answers on Wikipedia, or Google.
